1. YETI Rambler 20 oz. Tumbler
Why we like it
This tumbler the best we’ve seen and is a really great insulator. The company Yeti, makes an extensive line of insulated coolers and they apply the same know-how to these mugs, creating the best insulating mug you can get. The mug is comfortable to use on the road and because it has no handle, easy to stuff in your pack. The double-vacuum walls keeps your beverages hot for hours and hours. The top is secured with a slider lid to keep the liquid from spilling. It fits easily into most cup holders in cars. The mug is made of tough stainless steel which resists dents and breakage.
Cost: $30
2. CamelBak Forge
Why we like it
What we really liked about this one is it’s quite spillproof, the lid seals shut, even while inside a duffel bag. The extra loop for attaching or carrying makes it convenient to port around. It’s made of tough stainless steel and insulates fairly well, though not as well as the Yeti or HydroFlask. The wide mouth opening allows for easy drinking but causes some of the heat to escape. The mug is easy to use, pleasant to drink from, and easy to clean. It comes in a great assortment of colours too.
Available in 12 ounce and 16 ounce sizes.
Cost: $30.
3. Hydroflask True Pint Glass, 16 oz.
Why we like it
Originally a beer-pint holder but the double insulated construction works just as well keeping drinks hot as it does keeping them cold. It makes coffee drinking on the go very tasty and beats a disposable mug. This cup is a great insulator. The cup is not hot to the touch when filled with hot liquid. The mug doesn’t create any condensation on the outside, meaning you don’t have to worry about where you set it down, it won’t leave a puddle.
The only disadvantage is the lack of proper lid makes them difficult to use in a car.
Cost: $25
