Review of The North Face Mens Santiago Jacket
The North Face Mens Santiago Jacket – Product Review
This is a great season transition jacket from The North Face. It’s great for chilly summer nights in the mountains, works itself into the fall season until winter comes. In the winter it is an excellent layering piece for those really cold days. The jacket is made using lightweight and highly compressible material that is exceptionally warm but also has a great slim fit and sweater-like shape.
Use it on those early alpine starts when you’re high up on the glacier before the sun comes up, and around camp. Great for layering in the fall or winter. Good for mild winters – such as those in Santiago, hence the product name. Conforms to your body nicely meaning there is less airspace for the cold to seep in. Stylish enough to wear around town.
The North Face Santiago offers a durable nylon composition on the outside that is complimented by 600 fill down insulation. Small quilting lines throughout the jacket keep the down in place to help keep you warmer. Available in red, green, blue and black.
Additional features include:
- Two secure zip hand pockets
- Stows in hand pocket
- Elastic-bound cuff and hem
- 600 fill down insulation
- Body: 20D 40 g/m² (1.14 oz/square yard) 50% nylon 50% polyester
- Average weight: 440 g (15.52 oz)
- Length from Center Back: 26.75” (about 68 cm)
Spot clean stains. If you need to wash the entire jacket, hand wash is best or front-loading washing machine on the gentle setting. Down doesn’t like to be wet, so after washing make sure to stick it in the dryer until fully dry. Stick a tennis ball or dryer ball in there to fluff the down feathers.
