Things you should have in your vehicle at all times
Everything you need for travel and mishaps on the road.
Sleeping bags
It’s always wise to have one of these handy, even if you’re not planning to camp. If you need to stay at a friends house or in case you get stuck somewhere, it’s important to keep warm. Choose bags that are rated to 0 degrees (or 32 F), these will be the most versatile. Store them in their storage bags and not compression sacks to maintain their loft.
Road Atlas
Sometimes, your adventures take you beyond where you have cell coverage. Rather than trying to catch a signal or paying potentially expensive roaming fees, have a paper map handy.
Toothbrush and Toothpaste
We love the Toob toothbrush. It’s handy and compact, best of all, the toothpaste tube is refillable and hides inside the toothbrush handle. The head of the toothbrush is also replacable. It costs only $6.50.
Medicated Powder
A powder like Gold Bond medicated powder is great to have in summer or anytime you might get sweaty. Use it in your shoes to freshen them up and inside your socks to prevent blisters.
Jetboil stove
A Jetboil is nice to have in the car because it’s quick to use. It sets up fast and before you know it you have steaming hot water. Use it to prepare yourself a quick cup of coffee before you get going. Bring your favourite coffee so you don’t get stuck with drinking gas station coffee when you’re on the road – you can make your own. You can also warm yourself up water for washing your face and hands in the morning.
Coffee Press
A mug-in coffee press is another
Hand Sanitizer, Toilet Paper and Duct tape
You’ll be surprised how much you miss these items when you don’t have them. In case there is nowhere to wash your hands,
Noodles and Soups
What are you going to use that stove for? Now that you have the capability, make sure you take some quick cook food with you. While the selection of freeze dried foods is impressive, we love the salt from these noodles
Energy Bars
Try Clif bars, they’re sweet and taste like cookies.
